John Hedberg

John came from a strong tennis background and started playing at just 3 1/2 years old. He moved from Chicago to Utah when he was 7 where he has lived ever since (besides several years in Peru where his wife is from – he is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese). John started teaching tennis and picklebal in 2017 but quickly converted exclusively to pickleball. He has been a head instructor for the City of St. George, Utah, for nearly 6 years and was hired January 1st as the Head Pro for the Picklr indoor court facility also in St. George. He loves playing tournaments and medalled in 9 out of 10 mens tournaments last year. This year has gotten to a good start in is first year playing senior pro (as well as mens and mixed 5.0 19+, 35+ and 50+ events). He just turned 49 on Nov. 27th of last year so is definitely the “new kid on the block.”
